Representatives of leading international companies, businessmen and bankers gathered in Luxembourg on the 22nd of March 2016 in order to participate in Business conference and panel discussion “Luxembourg – Russia: changing regulatory landscape”.
At this conference Gazprombank (Joint-Stock Company) was represented by Mr Dmitry Peshnev-Podolskiy, Head of Gazprombank Private Banking. He participated in the panel discussion dedicated to the last changes in Russian and Luxembourgish legislations. Mr Peshnev-Podolskiy noted that Gazprombank Group started actively developing its business in Luxembourg two years ago, and one year later private banking services became available to GPB Group key clients. Together with Bank GPB International S.A., the Private Banking Division developed an investment product, through which high-net-worth clients can place a time deposit with Bank GPB International S.A., which is linked to the performance of an underlying asset. The product was structured in close cooperation with legal and tax consultants in Luxembourg and Moscow and has been extremely popular. Bank GPB International S.A. acts on the request of clients and provides best execution services. He also stressed that Luxembourg is an excellent platform for carrying out challenging transactions in the project, syndicated and structured finance fields.
With its new strategy, Gazprombank Private Banking will undoubtedly continue being actively involved in extending its presence in Luxembourg.
